Optimization of Parking Space Detection System Based on ZigBee Wireless Sensor Network

The marked rise in private car ownership has escalated parking difficulties into a prominent societal issue. This paper delves into the realm of parking space detection, proposing an innovative design and implementation plan for an intelligent parking detection system. This system is anchored in two pivotal technologies: ZigBee and ultrasonic detection. It boasts high efficiency and reliability in data transmission, making it suitable for extensive parking areas. The system's hardware incorporates a data collection module, consisting of the CC2530 chip and ultrasonic sensors. The ZigBee network, integral to the system, is composed of various ZigBee nodes and a coordinating mechanism. The system interfaces with the PC terminal via USB, culminating in an effective parking lot display module.
