Miniaturized CPW MIMO Antenna with Enhanced Isolation for 5G Application

Using the CPW feeding approach, a 22mm x 22mm miniaturized dual-port multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) antenna has been fabricated on FR-4 substrate. The proposed antennas have a peak realized gain of 1.9dB and radiating range extends from 3.04 to 3.75 GHz. The suggested antenna has ǀS11ǀ ≤ -24dB, ǀS21ǀ ≤ -20dB with bandwidth of 710 MHz in the 3.04–3.75GHz range, making them suitable for sub-6 GHz 5G indoor applications. Also, radiation efficiency of the antenna is more than 97% which signify the lower losses and effective transmission or reception of the signal.
