A Review of Small-signal Model Simulation Modeling Methods for DC-DC Converters

The simulation modeling methods of DC-DC converters were summarized and concluded. This paper introduces the continuous analytical modeling method of DC-DC converters, and summarizes and analyzes two commonly used modeling methods: state-space average method and circuit averaging method. At the same time, for the converters whose applicability of the two methods is not high, the extended Describing function method for LLC resonant converters and the equivalent small parameter method for power converters are summarized and introduced. Explained the core ideas and mathematical principles of the two methods, revealed the differences and connections between various modeling methods, as well as their advantages, disadvantages, and applicability, providing a theoretical basis for the modeling of future DC-DC switching converters.
