Abstract:

The manual movement of goods within warehouses and keeping track of them can be tedious, labor-intensive, and errable, resulting in increased costs, and reduced productivity. Additionally, this can pose safety risks to workers. The development of an autonomous indoor drone system with Wi-Fi-based indoor positioning and RFID-based delivery capabilities is proposed in this paper. One of the primary technologies employed in the system is indoor positioning based on WiFi, where it utilizes signals from WiFi access points to ascertain the drones’ positions within the warehouse. To achieve autonomous flight, the drones will be equipped with obstacle detection sensors. The drones will also use RF transceivers to communicate with each other to avoid collision and immediately shift their trajectories. RFID technology will be used for Warehouse management such as keeping track of Stocks and moving the goods to its destination in warehouse. Incorporating drones can enhance operational efficiency, lower labor expenses, and bolster safety standards within the warehouse.
