Equivalence study of 110kV transmission line simulation tower head gap and atypical gap Equivalence study

In this paper, an atypical gap is formed by superimposing the typical rod-plate gap on the plate electrode with lower rods of different lengths, and a simulation model of atypical gap is built. The electric field distribution characteristics of atypical gaps when rods of different lengths are added to the plate electrodes are simulated and analyzed. At the same time, the switching impulse discharge test of atypical gap was carried out in the high-voltage laboratory at an altitude of 2500m, the switching impulse discharge characteristics of atypical gap and 110kV transmission line simulated tower head gap were compared and analyzed, and the equivalent correlation between them is obtained, and the optimal atypical gap structure of 110kV tower head is recommended to provide reference for the design of later power grid engineering.
