Application of Digital and Intelligent Technology in Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery

As technology advances, the role of digital intelligence in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery has become increasingly important. The surgical practice has shifted from completely eliminating lesions to achieving optimal patient rehabilitation. A profound change has occurred in the traditional mode of diagnosis and treatment as a result of the application of digital intelligent medical technology, which can comprehensively and accurately assist in diagnosing diseases and providing guidance during the operation to reduce the risk of surgery by selecting appropriate surgical schemes and providing guidance throughout the operation. The postoperative rehabilitation of patients can be predicted using artificial intelligence. The technology has undergone a progressive transformation, starting from digital virtual human technology and advancing towards the development of a three-dimensional (3D) visualization system. Subsequently, this system has further evolved to facilitate the clinical implementation of intelligent digital technology, leading to a significant shift in the diagnosis and treatment model. This review summarized the most recent advances and applications of digital intellectual surgery technology in hepatopancreatic biliary surgery.
