Research on Model Predictive Control Method of Heavy-Haul Trains Based on Multi-Point Model

This paper takes the heavy-haul trains as the research object. Firstly, according to the basic principle of train traction calculation, the train nonlinear multi-point model is established. Secondly, based on the nonlinear multi-point model of heavy-haul trains, model predictive control (MPC) algorithm is proposed to meet the requirements of energy saving, safety and stability. Finally, the model predictive controller is simulated and verified based on the simulation platform, the control effect of MPC is compared and analyzed, it is proved that the model predictive control method of heavy-haul trains based on multi-objective optimization can not only meet the requirements of train safety, but also give consideration to the energy saving of train operation.
