Influence of Dielectric Constant of Insulation Oil on Wave Process of Transformer Winding

This study provides a theoretical analysis of the influence of dielectric constant of insulating oil on wave process of transformer winding. A specialized transformer wave process simulation software was used to compare and simulate the wave process of a 220kV transformer using vegetable insulating oil and mineral insulating oil. The simulation results demonstrate that, under equivalent allowable voltage conditions, the wave process of the transformer with mineral insulating oil outperform those with vegetable insulating oil. This confirms the validity of the theoretical analysis and provides reference for the design of longitudinal insulation structures in transformers using different insulating oils.
