Comprehensive evaluation and selection of offshore wind power DC collection system topology

With the wide application of HVDC transmission in large-scale and far-reaching offshore wind farms, the selection of schemes of AC collection-DC transmission and DC collection-DC transmission has become a research hot spot in the field of offshore wind power. The all-DC collection system will become an important offshore wind collection mode due to its superior controllability. However, for the all-DC system lacking engineering experience, how to choose an economic reliable topology schemes are crucial for engineering applications. This paper compares and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the series-parallel boost collection topology, establishes a topology design evaluation method, and analyzes the multi-dimensional indicators under different topology schemes from the reliability, loss, economy and other factors around the series-parallel topology, and uses the comprehensive evaluation method to analyze and select the topology with both reliability and economy. It provides a feasible path for the selection of the full DC collection topology of offshore wind power.
