Methodology for Designing the Capacity of Solar Power Plants for an Offline Home Network

Power generation through solar cell power plants is a widely adopted global practice, with the utilization of solar panels experiencing continuous expansion. Numerous factors contribute to this trend, with a primary emphasis on the utilization of alternative (renewable) energy sources, gaining heightened significance in recent times. The ongoing enhancements in solar cell power plant technology enable their versatile applications. Autonomous solar power plants, those not connected to industrial power grids, are specifically designed for powering isolated locations such as small country houses, summer cottages, sports grounds, and communication nodes. The novelty of this work lies in addressing critical gaps in existing literature by providing a systematic approach to dimensioning autonomous solar power plants, considering factors such as location, electrical load, and operational patterns. The practical proposed methodology provides practical results that serve as valuable tools for designing and optimizing ASPs. By accurately calculating component capacities based on load requirements and operational patterns, this approach ensures the reliable provision of electricity in off-grid locations. The practical outcome of this research enables the sustainable use of solar energy in remote areas, reducing the financial and labor costs associated with conventional power supply solutions.
