Problems in the Manufacture of Hydrogen Fuel Cells Bipolar Plates

The use of hydrogen as a fuel is an advanced promising direction in the development of environmentally friendly green technologies. The use of hydrogen fuel cells opens up broad prospects for the automotive industry development in the aerospace technologies and the energy complex. The metal bipolar plates are a key component of the proton membrane fuel cell. The ultra-thin plate is produced by sheet molding, providing the required ratio of the channels width and depth. To ensure the smallest thickness of the plate, the article analyzes the different influence of friction forces on the deformation conditions improvement. The experimental studies results at the titanium sheet molding, which was subjected to heat treatment, are presented.
