Electrotensiometry While Studying Plastic Deformation of Welded Cylindrical Samples

The electrotensiometry method is an indispensable tool for studying small elastic deformations of elements of building structures, operating equipment in oil refining and mechanical engineering. Tension resistors are widely used as sensitive elements of sensors, designed to measure forces, displacements, moments, pressures, etc. Often, determination of deformation field by electrotensiometers is the only possible method for studying the behavior of complex structures. The article presents the assumptions that justify the accuracy of measurements, selected electrical circuit, type of electrotensiometers, as well as measuring equipment. Experimental data results are presented in the form of graphs of the voltage change of the analog-to-digital converter depending on loading values after primary mathematical processing in the application package MathCad.
