Measurement of plasma density profile for edge plasma on J-TEXT Tokamak

In tokamak discharges, the density distribution of the plasma is one of the most important parameters. In recent years, it has been found that the edge parameters of the plasma play a crucial role in the confinement and stability of the plasma. In order to obtain high spatiotemporal resolution information on the density distribution evolution of the edge plasma, a K-band (18-26.5 GHz) ordinary mode (O-mode) microwave reflectometer system has been developed on the J-TEXT Tokamak. This reflectometer system can measure densities in the range of (0.4-0.8) × 10

with a time resolution up to 10 microseconds. In the recent experiment, the system has successfully acquired the evolution of the plasma edge density.
