Application of PID parameter tuning for robots based on SIMULINK

Nowadays, more and more primary and secondary school students like to participate in technology activities, especially in robot competitions. In robot competitions, students mainly control robot movements, complete tasks specified in the project, and ultimately evaluate based on their level of completion and points earned. Controlling the accuracy of robot motion is a challenge, and directly using control voltage to control robot motion is no longer sufficient for current tasks. More and more teams are using PID control method, and compared with ordinary methods, it is found that using PID control has better results, but its PID parameter tuning is a difficulty. In response to the complexity of the PID parameter tuning process, taking PID parameter tuning based on the SIMULINK environment as an example, by establishing a mathematical model of motor speed, studying the PID parameter tuning process, and using the SIMULINK environment, adjusting the control slider can freely modify the PID parameters, Moreover, it can adjust robots with different loads in a timely manner, saving a lot of work time, which is of great significance in practical applications and control theory.
