A Sensor Deployment Algorithm for Localization in Obstacle Environment

In this paper, we present a sensor deployment algorithm for localization in wireless sensor network(WSN) which takes into account of localization coverage, accuracy, obstacle environment and moving distance of each sensor node. The algorithm combines virtual force algorithm with the balanced optimization algorithm to solve the sensor deployment challenges for localization in obstacle environment. The balanced optimization algorithm is utilized to optimize the localization coverage range, while the virtual force algorithm achieves a balanced distribution of sensor nodes. Experimental results demonstrate the significant advantages of this approach in terms of geometric precision, localization rate, error, and moving distance for WSN in obstacle environment.
