Virtual Mapping of the LTE Signal at the Open Areas the Department of Sciences of the ESPOCH

This research article presents the intensity mapping of the LTE signal in the Department of Sciences of the Escuela Superior Politecnica de Chimborazo in the city of Riobamba, which is divided into two phases, the first is to obtain the data while the second is the simulation in the virtual environment. For the first phase, the LTE cellular network of the Claro operator was used in band 5, the Network Cell Info-lite cellular application, which is freely accessible in the Google Play Store and Google maps for the study of the terrain, since thanks to the with the help of the application, the coordinates of the base station that was taken as the origin to carry out radios over the area of the aforementioned Department were separated, taking into account 122 measurement points in a range of -50 to - 93 dBm that were considered during three campaigns, on three consecutive Saturdays with similar weather conditions and a scenario with few vehicles and people. While for the second phase it was subdivided into two processes, the first which considers the 3D drawing of the Department and for the second process the drawing was exported to the Unreal application, which is a virtual environment through which virtual reality glasses can be attached, where you can see the color scale of the received power, obtaining as a result powers within the allowed ranges and good coverage.
