Data Acquisition and Display Module for Time-of-flight Neutron Measurement

A real-time data display and storage module was developed for time-of-flight (TOF) neutron measurement. The developed module can be used to measure the TOF and time-resolved neutron position data from neutron scattering experiments using pulsed neutrons. The module has two modes of operation, the standard mode and simple-display mode. It was confirmed through an operational test using double and continuous pulses that simple-display mode operates faster than the standard mode, with a pulse-pair resolution of less than 0.6 µs and a count rate capability of 1.6 Mcps.
