Electrical Results of the ATLAS ITk Pre-production Stave at Brookhaven National Laboratory

The ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is currently preparing to upgrade the current inner tracking detector with a new all-silicon Inner Tracker, the ITk. This new detector will be made of five inner Pixel layers and four outer Strip layers. The building blocks of the ITk strip barrel layers are the staves. A stave is made of a low-mass support structure which hosts the common electrical, optical and cooling services as well as 28 silicon modules, 14 on each side. After an extensive prototyping phase, all the ITk institutes are currently in pre-production, moving towards production. In this contribution we outline the challenging aspects encountered during the stave pre-production testing phase at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). In particular, the electrical characterization of the latest pre-production stave built at BNL in late 2022 will be discussed in detail.
