Trading Strategy in View of Renewable Power into Indian Restructured Electricity Market

Process of restructuring of power industry has already been implemented by the most of the developed countries to aim the reliability of power delivery and customer's satisfaction. Electricity generation by the conventional power sources emit greenhouse gases and other pollutants which results acid rains and global warming. Hence government of many countries are promoting the renewable energy generation by providing the subsidy and incentives. This paper proposed restructured and renewable electricity market model for Indian power sector. Promotion of Exchange of electrical power generated with renewable energy sources in terms of renewable energy certificated (RECs) is described as a consumer to use it as renewable purchase obligation (RPO).
