Development of Control, Protection and Alarm Systems for Rectifier Units for Traction Substations with Modern Telemechanics Protocols

The paper considers the algorithm of operation and the layout scheme of the control, protection and alarm device of the rectifier for traction substations of urban electric transport with modern telemechanics protocols. The subject of the study is the optimal control algorithm suitable for the modernization of existing traction substations with old types of rectifiers, as well as modern ones with controlled keys. The research method consists in modeling the operation of a rectifier on diodes, as well as IGBT transistors, and comparing the resulting losses for different types of models. As well as checking the control algorithm of the rectifier and the system for diagnosing its operation, by simulating it in Matlab Simulink. The relevance of the work is due to the high cost of existing control systems and telemechanics, such as the VD2M1600, where, for example, Siemens control units are installed. Taking into account the state policy in the field of import substitution, the problem of replacing this management system is relevant. Physically, the stand model is developed on the stm32f407igt6 microcontroller, supports the IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-104 protocols, and can be integrated into the existing digital network of the traction substation.
