Design and Testing of a Renewable-Energy-Powered GSM Electric Vehicle

The acquisition of driving skills is a crucial milestone in achieving autonomy for individuals with disabilities. However, the conventional driving system integrated into vehicles fails to offer the necessary features to enable those with impairments to operate the vehicle effectively. Therefore, the primary objective of this project was to develop a prototype of an automobile that operates using sustainable energy sources, specifically solar power. The target demographic for this vehicle is individuals who experience infirmities affecting their upper or lower extremities. The ability for those with physical limitations to independently commute between locations without relying on assistance would be highly advantageous. The research indicates that there is a growing focus on the topic of sustainable mobility among both the general public and experts. This is due to the significant influence of automotive systems on the production of carbon dioxide, climate change (namely global warming), and the depletion of fuel resources. The utilization of renewable energy sources, such as solar energy, offers numerous environmental benefits, including the reduction of pollution, the promotion of sustainability, and the absence of greenhouse gas emissions. This approach holds promise for safeguarding the environment in the long term. Undoubtedly, one of the most significant advancements in the realm of clinical practice that has greatly benefitted the elderly and individuals with disabilities is the introduction of portable mobility devices. The cost of an automobile may be deemed unaffordable for an individual of average means. In this particular instance, an effort is being undertaken to produce a Solar Electric vehicle designed for individuals with disabilities, with the aim of achieving an optimal cost and ensuring ease of use. The provision of accessible transportation and living arrangements guarantees that individuals with physical disabilities are able to experience comfort and ease in their travel and daily lives. Solar energy has emerged as a prominent focal point in contemporary times due to many factors such as environmental pollution, escalating fuel costs, and the limited supply of conventional energy sources. Solar energy is projected to become the predominant primary source in the future. The solar electric car incorporates sophisticated elements that prove highly beneficial for individuals with physical disabilities seeking to attain independence. Furthermore, the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) is affixed to the vehicle in order to facilitate the surveillance of those with disabilities. In the event of vehicle damage, loss of control, or any other unusual activities, it is necessary to transmit a notification to the designated individual through the utilization of GSM technology. The ability to remotely monitor individuals with disabilities from any location worldwide is advantageous.
