Vision Based Lunar Landing Using RC64 Rad Hard DSP/ML Manycore Processor

To enable Beresheet 2 Lunar landing, a real-time vision-based SLAM algorithm is executed on RC64, the rad-hard Space manycore, to simultaneously sense Lunar terrain and infer lander relative position, velocity, and attitude. Processing rate of 20 stereo 1024×1024 pixel images per second was achieved, consuming up to 6 Watts.
