XSWITCH-16: Rad-Hard Crosspoint Switch IC for High-Speed Communication

This paper presents design considerations of XSWITCH-16, a radiation hardened 16x16 full duplex Crosspoint Switch integrated circuit (IC) offering repeater, multiplexer, and switch functions capable of reaching bit rate as high as 12 Gbps thanks to the digital re-timing architecture. Overall presentation of circuit architecture and brief presentation different functions are discussed. (Abstract)
