A low-power daisy-chain controller implemention in BMS based on power mode switching

This paper proposes a low-power daisy-chain interface controller that can be applied to a battery management system. Based on the power mode switching, the paper divides the chip into three power modes, SHUTDOWN, SLEEP and ACTIVE, and combine multi-voltage domains, clock gating, power gating and asynchronous circuits, RTL coding techniques to achieve dynamic switching of power consumption. The lowest supply currents can reach 3.81uA under 180nm process.
