A new concept of Remote Interface Units

European space industry, together with the European Space Agency, is promoting the standardization of the data-handling and processing architectures, down to the level of electronic modules. In this context, this paper shows Airbus Crisa’s vision of how the usual electronic modules that form part of a Remote Terminal / Interface Unit (RTU / RIU) might be.
