Using Statcom Devices to Control And Maintain Voltage Stability In Wind Turbine Generators

Day by day, renewable energy systems are being integrated further into the electrical grid, especially the wind turbine system, which has added a sizable source of electricity to the grid in the form of wind farms. Although this energy source has limitless reserves, it still depends on the wind's immobility. At grid nodes with integrated wind power, capacity disruptions and voltage imbalances are easily caused when the wind speed abruptly changes, which has an impact on the system's transmission quality. Researching the use of static compensators (STATCOM) [1], [2] to regulate and enhance voltage quality with integrated wind power is thus crucial for enhancing the stability of the power grid.
