Regional Power Gap Analysis and Optimal Allocation Strategy

Under the new development pattern, the impact and requirements of the new development pattern on power grid investment are first summarized. The mechanism of grid investment on expanding domestic demand and increasing kinetic energy was further analyzed. Based on the panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2000 to 2018, the spillover relationship between power capital and regional growth is verified by constructing a fixed-effect panel model, and the difference in the spillover effect of power infrastructure between regions in China is empirically compared in the same dimension. The results show that there is a large gap in power capital between provinces and regions, and we should rationally allocate power capital to better expand domestic demand, increase kinetic energy, drive the development of upstream and downstream industrial chains, and promote economic and social benefits such as employment.
