The transformation is shaped by the growing importance of the internet, the impending shift towards 3D computing interfaces, and the rise of new engineering concepts and scientific fields like the Internet of Things (IoT), Internet of Everything (IoE), and Internet of Digital Reality (IoD). The paper explores the transition from 2D to 3D content management solutions and the potential of Virtual/Augmented Reality (VRIAR) technologies in enhancing digital work experiences. The cognitive aspects of virtual reality and the impact of VR environments on spatial memory and learning are investigated. The research includes a comparative analysis of DOS, Windows, and virtual desktops, focusing on their impact on the human brain. Additionally, the benefits of using VR environments for digital workflows and information sharing are explored, highlighting the advantages of personalized VR workspaces.
