An IoT-based Home Automation System using NodeMCU and Blynk IoT App

The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized the way of living by connecting everyday devices to the Internet. One of the most promising applications of IoT is home automation, which allows homeowners to control and monitor various devices in their homes using a single platform. The proposed work is an IoT-based Home Automation System using NodeMCU and Blynk IoT App presents a simplified and efficient solution for remote control of home appliances. By leveraging the NodeMCU microcontroller board and the Blynk IoT app, users can conveniently manage their devices from anywhere through their smartphones. The system's architecture involves connecting the NodeMCU board to a relay module, which interfaces with the home appliances. The Blynk IoT app facilitates the creation of switches that correspond to the relay modules, enabling easy on/off control with a simple tap on the smartphone screen. Also, users can control their smart home appliances with voice commands using Google Home. With its minimal component requirements and userfriendly setup, the system offers accessibility to individuals with basic electronics and programming knowledge. Furthermore, the inclusion of a 4 or 6-channel relay module provides flexibility in connecting and controlling multiple devices simultaneously. The proposed system serves as an affordable, accessible, and scalable solution to transform traditional homes into smart and automated environments, enhancing convenience and improving the quality of life for users.
