Estimation of Time-domain Radiation Characteristics for Dipole Antenna Array

Ultra-wideband array technologies have garnered considerable interest in the wireless radio field. In this paper, the time-domain radiation field of an elemental antenna is derived from its current distribution. The time-domain radiation characteristics of the dipole array, including the temporal pattern and waveform features, are estimated using the spatial superposition principle while considering excitation delay for each element. The finite integration techniques are employed for validation, and the findings demonstrated that the proposed method is effective in predicting time-domain radiation characteristics of large finite wire antenna array. This lays a foundation for time-domain pattern synthesis of array antennas.
