A Measures to Reduce Flashover Failure in Birds

In recent years, with the economic development and social progress, the electric power industry in our country has developed rapidly, and the social from all walks of life put forward high requirements for transmission efficiency and quality, strengthen the construction and maintenance of the grid is becoming important. 220kV transmission lines are the important part of power grid in our country, playing an important role in ensuring power grid stability, but it is easy to be disturbed by bird hazards, which cause faults and the tripping phenomenon to occur. In this paper, by sorting out the common types of bird flashover and analyzing the situation of bird damage fault of transmission lines in Fushun area, the design scheme of intelligent flashover device is put forward. After successful development, the effect of flashover device is obvious after multiple applications in the field, which greatly reduces the flashover failure rate of Fushun area lines.
