Applications of AI and Blockchain in Healthcare

The healthcare industry has seen a revolutionary transition since the advent of AI and blockchain. This paper offers a solution consolidating blockchain and AI in healthcare to give patients and doctors access to a collaborative platform. The proposed website-based platform enables patients to input their symptoms, which are then subjected to an AI-powered intermediary model for early prognosis. Subsequently, this prognosis will be forwarded to doctors for verification and final prescription. To ensure robust security, data privacy, and traceability, the platform incorporates blockchain technology. At the AI front, this paper incorporates a comparative study between the three classifier models: Random Forest Classifier, Naive Bayes Classifier and Decision Tree Classifier.A permissioned blockchain network i.e. Hyperledger Fabric is used to form a peer to peer network between the doctors and patients. Smart contracts are deployed on this fabric and doctors prescription is stored in the smart contract which is immutable. This paper highlights the potential of AI and Blockchain in revolutionizing healthcare delivery and promoting efficient, secure, and transparent medical services.
