Unlocking E-Learning Power: Employee Perspectives on Microlearning Effectiveness

The study investigates the efficiency of microlearning in providing employees with training. Microlearning is an evolving e-learning trend. This qualitative study intends to give light on employees’ perspectives on the benefit and efficiency of microlearning in the delivery of training. Appropriate solutions are needed for lifelong learning, particularly for business training. Workers typically struggle to balance their daily jobs with their training. Microlearning is a good alternative because it is built on the principle of breaking new concepts down into digestible portions. Focused group discussions are the primary method for acquiring information. Content and thematic analysis were done for 40 focused groups from the responses obtained from employees working in organisations that have embraced microlearning as an E-learning training method. Each group had five to seven employees. The data for this study were primarily gathered from Indian companies. The proper conclusions have been drawn after thoroughly assessing the literature and a focus group discussion with employees. The shift from conventional learning to e-learning positively affects an organisation’s operations and structure. This study introduces a conceptual framework referred to as the Microlearning Engagement and Impact Model (MEIM).
