WAV Audio Cutting Software Based on Qt

In hydroacoustic target studies, researchers record the entire experiment. This leads to long recording duration and large recording files, which makes it difficult for subsequent target audio characterization. To solve this problem, researchers can use audio editing software to cut the audio of interest before doing the analysis. Nowadays, there are many very good audio editing software available in the market. However, due to software copyright, system environment and other restrictions, it is not possible to use such software in some specific scenarios. By using the cross-platform feature of Qt, it is possible to develop a cross-platform audio editing software with independent intellectual property rights. This paper discusses how to implement Qt-based WAV audio editing software.
