Multi-Parameter Secure Data Aggregation in Data Centre with Integrity Verification

Data centers play a crucial role in storing and processing large amounts of data generated by various sources. Secure data aggregation in data centers is essential to protect the integrity and confidentiality of the aggregated data. This paper presented a multi-parameter secure data aggregation scheme (MPDA-S) in a data center environment, incorporating integrity verification techniques. The proposed scheme utilizes encryption and aggregation techniques to ensure confidentiality and accuracy of the aggregated data. Each sensor node generates a secure vector representation of its data, with vector elements storing encrypted values computed using parameter-specific public keys. The vector positions represent the distance between the sensed value and the parameter-specific benchmark. The secure vector elements are then aggregated at the data center to create an aggregated vector, which represents the number of sensors with the same positional difference from the benchmarks. To ensure data integrity, hash values are generated from the sensed data and node IDs, and these hash values are aggregated at both the sensor nodes and the data center. The data center verifies the integrity of the received data by comparing the aggregated hash values. Furthermore, the scheme incorporates authenticity verification techniques to prevent unauthorized modifications to the data. The proposed scheme is evaluated through simulations in a data center environment, considering multiple parameters and varying network sizes. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the scheme in achieving secure data aggregation with integrity verification. The scheme effectively protects against eavesdropping attacks, malicious attacks, and cluster head compromised attacks. It also provides resistance against malleability attacks and replay attacks. The proposed MPDA-S multi-parameter secure data aggregation scheme with integrity verification provides a robust solution for data centers to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity of aggregated data. The scheme offers enhanced security measures while maintaining efficient aggregation and communication overhead. It can be applied in real-world data center environments where data integrity and security are of utmost importance.
