Comparison Analysis of High-Voltage Transformers with Different Powers and Insulation Conditions Using the FDS Method

The article deals with the analysis of the comparison of different transformers with different performances and qualities of insulation properties at the same indoor temperature and the analysis of the insulation properties of the transformer at different temperatures by the method of frequency dielectric spectroscopy (FDS). The advantage of determining the insulation state of the transformer using the capacity by the FDS method is a smaller temperature dependence compared to the loss factor, which was verified during the analysis of the effect of temperature. The disadvantage of determining the insulation condition of the transformer using the capacity was the influence of the geometric arrangement of the insulation, i.e. depending on the type and performance of the machine.
