Improvement of the Wind Map Using Interpolation Method for a Region in Southwestern Algeria

Generally, the models used to estimate the wind resource are based on data recorded at the level of a single mast at a time, while some projects include several meteorological stations. To answer this problem, this work proposes an interpolation approach to improve the wind map. This technique is applied to a region of southwestern Algeria where we have data collected from 03 meteorological stations, namely Mecheria, El Kheiter and El Bayadh. The methodology adopted therefore consists of weighting the results obtained by the WAsP software for each mast using an interpolation method based on inverse distance weighting.
