Anaerobic Digestion of the Textiles Wastewater: Enhancement of the Fermentation Conditions

This paper outlines the anaerobic digestion of the textile wastewater sludge. The focus of this study revolves around the enhancement of the fermentation conditions for psychrophilic digestion using computational tools. For this reason, the effect of mixing different organic waste, as inoculum, into textile wastewater sludge is carried out to determine the most efficient one. The outcomes are elucidated in connection with the amount of biogas produced and compared to that when no waste is added. Furthermore, the impact of several mass fractions of the inoculum is examined. Thus, the most favorable circumstances for anaerobic digestion are pinpointed.
