Discrete Robust Control Synthesis and Analysis Using the Free Root Locus Portraits for Electric Drive

Robust PI controllers parametrization is proposed in the paper based on the small parameter and the time scale method application. The robustness of the induction motor (IM) vector control system can be achieved by the explicit and easy-to-use, though approximate, approach. Investigation and verification of the synthesized robust discrete control system dynamics is carried out with the system root locus portrait application. The obtained results of the system synthesis and analysis are substantiated by the simulation results given in the paper.
