Estimating Direction of NLOS Mobile Terminal Using Covariance Matrix Prediction Based on AR Method

This paper proposes a method to realize the direction estimation of Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) terminal. The proposed method uses a linear prediction method based on past measured elements of the covariance matrix of propagation channels and estimates the NLOS terminal direction using those predicted values. The simulation using the ray-trace model showed the proposed method realizes NLOS terminal direction estimation with 1.54° accuracy.
