The Oil Quality Detection on the Gearbox of Monopulse Surveillance Secondary Radar

Accuracy and validity of surveillance data especially from Radar equipment are important to the safety and effectiveness of air navigation services, one important thing in radar systems is Azimuth Change Pulse (ACP). The motivation of this study is to explore the cause of trouble in the radar system due to the leakage of oil at the pedestal, in the gearbox antenna. The quality of oil at the gearbox influences radar performance, however, there is a leak in the system to monitor the quality of the oil. This study aims to develop oil quality detection of the gearbox by using Arduino uno, the method by prototyping method, and experimental design, the results show that the prototype runs well, and experimenting with oil from the gearbox decreases their viscosity, which reduces the quality of oil.
