Land Subsidence Observation in Bali Dense Population Area using L-Band SAR Images from 2007 to 2021

A major geological issue in the environment, especially in urban areas, is land subsidence. Monitoring and observation are crucial because they help to reduce damage to the environment, loss of human life, and the economy. We are discovering a strong, positive link between land subsidence and dense population density by utilizing the Differential Interferometry Synthetic Aperture Radar (DInSAR) method together with Pearson correlation. The Lombok earthquake may have caused land subsidence in Bali in 2018 and 2019. However, this study must be enhanced to get the main cause of land subsidence with GPS validation, correlate the rate of expansion of the region throughout each observation period, conduct continuous observations, and use longer observation periods. Last, but not least, it is still difficult to reliably get data on groundwater extraction and level.
