The Study of High Gain Transparent Antenna

In this article, a 1x4 wideband transparent array antenna for 5G N78 (3.3-3.8 GHz) band was designed. The design utilizes a low-loss transparent dielectric and a multilayer dielectric structure, with a conductor layer of antennas plated on its top and bottom surfaces. Metal mesh is used to increase the antenna's transparency, the optical transparency (OT) of the metal mesh is 82.6-93.3%. The antenna bandwidth (return loss more than 10 dB) is 0.71-1.0 GHz, the peak gain is 7-10.5 dBi. Furthermore, compared with solid antennas in simulations, the meshed antennas showed an increase in bandwidth of 0.18 to 0.47 GHz, while the Peak Gain decreased by 1 to 3.5 dB in the n78 frequency band.
