A Study on Spreading Reflectarray Antenna for Eliminating Blind Spots in Millimeter-Wave Band Communication

We propose the use of a spreading reflectarray to eliminate blind spots in millimeter-wave band communications. The reflectarray consists of patch elements arranged alternately at half-wavelength intervals, with reflection phases in opposite phases, effectively satisfying the end-fire condition. Through a two-dimensional simulation using a 20-element linear array, we demonstrate that 60 GHz signals can propagate successfully even when obstructed by a screen.
