A Study of Dielectric Sensing Based on the Bi-Characteristic-Impedance Transmission Line (BCITL) Model

This paper studies a dual-probe microstrip antenna, based on the bi-characteristic impedance transmission line (BCITL) model, applied in dielectric sensing systems. By changing dielectric constant of materials, associated scattering parameters and BCITL parameters are changes noticeably as well, enabling effective dielectric sensing. In addition, numerical results are provided to validate the proposed approach for dielectric classification.
