Characterizing the Electromagnetic Response of Stent Antenna in Endovascular Aneurysm Repair

This study introduces a novel stent antenna system for the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). The stent antenna consists of meshed rings formed by multiple helical wires connected to a single feed wire, enabling controlled current distribution. It offers improved antenna characteristics, including omnidirectional radiation, high gain, and optimal impedance matching. Simulation and measurement results validate the performance of the stent antenna across the frequency range of 850-950 MHz, including ISM 868 and 915 MHz bands. This research demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed stent antenna for EVAR in AAA treatment.
