Modelling and Analysis of the Scheduled Maintenance for the Test Cell of the IFMIF DONES Facility

This paper emphasizes the significance of maintenance for ensuring the efficiency and reliability of irradiation facilities, specifically focusing on the Test Cell in the International Fusion Materials Irradiation Facility DEMO Oriented Neutron Source (IFMIF DONES) facility. We propose a comprehensive methodology that combines Petri nets modelling and regression analysis to develop an effective maintenance plan. Regression analysis generates precise linear equations, serving as surrogate models for Petri nets simulations, significantly reducing computational time. Using these fitted regression equations, we rapidly estimate the Test Cell system's availability, uptime, and downtime, offering valuable insights for enhancing reliability, maintenance planning, and system safety. The paper presents the results of regression analysis and the findings of Petri nets modelling simulations, providing an efficient maintenance scheme for the Test Cell.
