Development and Analysis of Ceramic-Based Thick-film Nanostructures for Environmental Sensing and Control

Innovative humidity-sensitive sensors were created using insulating MgAl
2
O
4
ceramics, renowned for their exceptional reliability. Additionally, we developed temperature-sensitive multilayered thick-film sensors utilizing semiconducting spinel-type Ni,Mn,Cu,Mn-based ceramics. Thorough research efforts were dedicated to the evaluation of these sensor prototypes. The outcomes of our investigations reveal that the temperature-sensitive thick-film components exhibit significant sensitivity within the temperature range of 298 to 358 K. Simultaneously, the humidity-sensitive sensors exhibit remarkable sensitivity levels ranging from 30% to 98% during repeated absorption-desorption cycles. These engineered sensors found their application within a microprocessor-based information measuring system, primarily tailored for environmental monitoring and control purposes.
