A Compact and Adjustable Matrix Synthesis Method for Multi-Driving of Capacitive TSP

With the emergence of new form-factor products, mobile device display panel sizes are diversifying, leading to a growing demand for adaptive solutions. This brief introduces an orthogonal matrix synthesis approach, designed specifically for various capacitive touch screen panels (TSPs). This method aims to achieve minimal and consistent column offsets in the synthesized TSP driving matrix. Moreover, it ensures perfect orthogonality between TSP electrodes and enhanced resistance to external noise interference. Our solution implemented with a full system-on-chip in a 0.13-

process, consistently achieved an optimal signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and maintained uniform column offsets across a variety of TSP channels, demonstrating its effectiveness for future display technologies across diverse TSP sizes.
