Innovative Hardware Architecture for Zero Emission Sea Drones

Sea drones have become an essential part of marine and naval processes due to their cost, possibility to operate without the need for services and personnel allocation and functions, they provide. Despite having different purposes, sea drones fulfill the need of the cheap, relatively slow and, for some applications, almost undetectable solutions. However, the problem with pollution from internal combustion engines, created noise and vibrations limit the use of such systems in restricted waters and natural parks. This paper discusses the architecture of the zero emission fully electric unmanned drone of the small size powered by hydrogen fuel cell. The paper demonstrates layout of the drone, interconnection of the drivetrain components and evaluates operational parameters of it.
